East Coast Worldwide is North Florida’s number one destination for all things tattoo – including tattoo removal! It was once believed that tattoo shops and tattoo removal were rivals, but that couldn’t be more false. East Coast Worldwide loves and appreciates all forms of body art from tattoos, piercings, and more. We just want to help you remove or alter the ink you no longer identify with or love.
Laser tattoo removal is the perfect solution for fading a tattoo down for a new cover-up piece, removing an ex-partner’s name from an otherwise perfect tattoo, or erasing an unwanted tattoo that didn’t turn out the way you hoped. Everyone’s motivations for seeking laser tattoo removal are unique and different! Our studio is here to help you achieve the look that you want for your skin.
Laser tattoo removal is a noninvasive procedure that uses laser light technology to penetrate deep into the skin and shatter trapped ink particles. Tattoos are made up of large ink particles that are too big to be consumed by the body’s immune system, so they remain permanently trapped in your skin’s dermis layer.
The moment tattoo ink is injected into your skin, your body’s immune system sends blood cells to clean up the foreign ink material and heal the puncture wound. However, the large size and deep placement of the ink particles only allows the small blood cells to scrape away tiny fragments of ink. Your immune system continuously eats away at the ink which is why tattoos remain permanently etched in the skin while gradually losing color over time.
During a treatment session, our Trinity laser will send really fast bright flashes of light onto the unwanted ink. The ink particles will absorb the light energy, causing them to shatter into tiny fragmented particles that are small enough for your blood cells to consume. The weeks following a treatment, the blood cells will naturally dispose of the fragmented particles through your lymphatic system, speeding up the gradual fading process that happens over many years.
Each treatment with the laser treats the shallowest layer of ink and works its way down until no more ink is visible in the skin. You will see your tattoo fade more and more with each treatment until your desired look is achieved.
East Coast Worldwide also offers treatments with the PFD Patch. The PFD Patch is a laser tattoo removal accessory that allows up to 4 laser passes in one treatment. Not only does this promote faster fading, you’ll also see better results in fewer treatments! Ask our laser technician about the PFD Patch today.

East Coast Worldwide invests in only the best to provide a quality experience for our customers. We take special pride in our staff, tattoo artists, studio, jewelry, and more because we make sure we bring the best of the best to the table. The same can be said about our laser tattoo removal technology. East Coast Worldwide uses the state-of-the-art Astanza Trinity laser to perform all tattoo removal treatments.
The Astanza Trinity laser is trusted by the world’s leading laser tattoo removal practitioners, including East Coast Worldwide. Thanks to this cutting-edge system, our Jacksonville Beach studio is able to deliver superior removal results on all patient skin types and ALL tattoo colors.
The Trinity is a combination laser system that combines the power of two standalone lasers: a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser and a Q-switched Ruby laser. Together, these lasers produce a total of three wavelengths for removal on the most colorful tattoos. Each wavelength of light energy targets a specific group of ink colors. The more wavelengths a laser has, the more colors it can treat. Our ruby laser specifically targets resistant and stubborn pigments like blues and greens that traditional, competitor lasers cannot! Only our Trinity laser can deliver full-spectrum removal on multicolored tattoos.
Our Trinity laser penetrates deep into the skin and treats unwanted ink without harming any of the surrounding skin tissue. Furthermore, it is designed to shatter more ink with each session - speeding up the natural fading process and reducing the number of overall treatments needed. These features paired with the DESCRIBE® PFD Patch are sure to remove your tattoo faster than any other studio or clinic.
East Coast Worldwide is happy to announce that we provide laser tattoo removal treatments using the DESCRIBE® PFD Patch. The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is an innovative laser tattoo removal accessory that helps speed up fading, provides safer treatments, and delivers better results.
Laser tattoo removal is a single-pass procedure meaning the laser can only treat your tattoo once during a treatment session. Overtreatment of the skin can lead to epidural injury and unwanted side effects. However, with the PFD Patch, East Coast Worldwide is able to treat your tattoo up to 4 times in a single session!
The PFD Patch is a transparent silicone gel patch that is soaked in a liquid called perfluorodecalin. This ingredient dissolves gas and provides oxygen to the skin, allowing for multiple laser passes in a single session.
During your treatment, the Patch is placed on top of the tattoo and the laser will proceed with treatment as normal, sending pulses of light energy through the Patch. This accessory provides numerous benefits and better results for your skin!
The DESCRIBE® PFD Patch is a single-use, optical clearing device accessory for use in laser-assisted tattoo removal procedures. Side effects, including pain, erythema, and edema were reported during laser tattoo removal.
