"This place is amazing!! I came across this place researching and trying to find a good piercing and tattoo shop where they have a star rating of 4 and above and found east coast. I live on the west side of Jacksonville and it is about a 25 minute drive but trust me, it is worth it. When you first walk in, you will be surprised with how clean the studio is. It was a very colorful and unique setup. While waiting, you are also provided with snacks and drinks. I can only speak on piercings and Jordan has been my piercer for the past 3 piercings I’ve gotten here. She is very friendly and walks you through everything from start to finish. If you having dying questions she will answer them, if you dm her she will answer in minutes. She will always tell you what to do in any type of situation concerning your piercing. She is the best and I will continue to come back for my future piercings. Although it is a bit pricey here, it is for a good reason for piercings are sensitive to certain metals. The most you pay for will be for the jewelry, the service itself is not expensive but, there is no one else I could trust than Jordan for my piercings. "My wife and I got tattoos here 2 weeks ago and it was the best tattoo experience I’ve had personally. After doing research online and reading all of the amazing reviews we decided to give East Coast Worldwide our business and I couldn’t be much happier. We showed up on a Sunday night, late after all the other tattoo shops in Jacksonville were closed, and were greeted within 2 or 3 minutes but all we wanted at the time was to look through portfolios and to scope out how clean and well put together the shop was. After about 15 minutes James came down and asked us if we needed help and I pitched him my idea for a hand tattoo and a couples tattoo with my wife. He explained to me some of the cons of getting a hand tattoo but he also sounded pretty excited to do the work, so he said if we decided to choose him then we should make an appointment and send him reference pictures and explain in detail what we were looking for. I immediately went home and made the appointment for 4 days later, during those 4 days any time I had a question I emailed James and he responded with the answers. On the big day he had everything waiting and he showed me the picture and his ideas which I agreed on and he got to work. During the session I got to know him a little bit and was both honored and pleasantly surprised to find out that James, like me, is an Army veteran and to hear that he got his career started on deployment issuing fellow soldiers tattoos to take their minds off the deployment was absolutely phenomenal. I’m not the guy who goes to the same artist every time I get a tattoo, and I’ve had tattoos done in 11 different stated and 2 different countries, but I would gladly return to get more work done."

"I got my dermal piercings done elsewhere and was very disappointed, after 6 months one of the jewels turned a greenish color and was very irritated. I went to East Coast and James fixed me up! He replaced the jewels and gave me the correct information on how to care for the piercings. "I just received my first tattoo at East Coast Worldwide from Patrick Powell. Being new to the tattoo lifestyle, I had many questions and concerns. Patrick answered every question I had and made sure I received the exact tattoo I wanted. He had to redraw the tattoo a couple of times because the size of the tattoo I wanted did not fit on my body type. He was completely honest and left every choice up to me as far as the work I wanted to be done. My first tattoo was a semi-large piece of art on the right side of my chest. "I have been looking for a place in Jax that is in the same caliber as Kolo or Piercing Experience or Virtue & Vice in Atlanta. I'm pretty picky about who I let stick needles in me. Most of the shops I saw here didn't impress me much, until I located ECW. I was pleased to see they have the Association of Professional Piercers standards & guidelines posted on their website. They also have convenient online booking for appointments too. The shop itself is tucked away just south of Wendy's on 3rd St. From the outside it doesn't seem like much, but the atmosphere inside is welcoming and relaxing, and most importantly CLEAN. James is a friendly, laid back guy with a great no-BS bedside manner. He will show you all his equipment, tell you about the autoclave, answer any questions you have about the procedure, and will honestly tell you how much it's gonna hurt. We discussed piercing vs. punching my conches and decided to go with 8 gauge piercings. Another redeeming quality is that ECW stocks top quality jewelry brands, so I was able to get Glasswear Studios plugs for my fresh piercings. I will definitely be back, and recommend ECW to anyone in Jax who wants a top-notch body modification."

"From the moment I walked in to East Coast Worldwide Tattoo, I felt a positive vibe and a sense of comfort. I came into their shop in order to discuss covering up some previous tattoos and outlines done at Caribbean Connection that I was completely unsatisfied with. When I walked into East Coast Tattoo I was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. I spoke with three of their artists, and together it was decided that Omar Safi would be the right man for the job. It was estimated that the tattoo would take around 4 hours to be completed. The pricing was very fair, especially for the quality of work that was done. Other tattoo shops, with inferior reputations, had estimated the cost to complete my tattoo around 700-800$. My first session with Omar, I was able to sit for 3 hours and it cost me less than 400$. I have approximately 1 hour of work left until my tattoo will be completed. I expect that after my tattoo is complete the total cost will be around 500-550$. The quality of work done was well worth the cost. Not only was the quality of the work superb, Omar is a greet, everyday guy, who was able to distract me with stimulating conversation. In conclusion, after having many below average experiences at other local tattoo shops, I am ecstatic to finally be able to say that I have found a quality tattoo shop, with fair pricing, ran by admirable people that I can trust. I look forward to going back and getting more tattoos that I can admire and be proud of."

"My 1st experience at being tattooed- considering this was my VERY 1st tattoo at the age of 58 years young, the pain was "tolerable" the first :30 minutes being as I did not pass out, cry or puke, LOL. That was a VERY good thing. I did cuss for just a "wee little bit" but after the first :30 minutes my tolerance level had built up so I didn't feel as much pain. That was a good thing:). Yes, I will be going back for a 2nd tattoo with my daughter, Beth, for a "Mother/Daughter" tattoo. The way I see it is like this- while going through the hard labor of giving birth to a child, you say you will never do that again but then you do. I forgot all the about the pain after I got my tattoo so I will do this again with my "tat man" Omar Safi!!! He's such a big teddy bear with a kind humble soul and that speaks alot......."
